Christopher Tang, professor of decisions, operations and technology management and the Edward W. Carter Chair in Business Administration in the UCLA Anderson School, has been named a Distinguished Fellow of the Manufacturing and Service Operations Management (MSOM) Society in recognition of the impact his research has had on operations management.
In addition to this fellowship, Tang was also named editor-in-chief of MSOM in 2014. This quarterly journal covers research on management of goods and services, with the inclusion of technology and product development using practice-based research strategies.
Tang is renowned for his research on supply chain management, flexible manufacturing systems, product variety and social business operations.
