Join the Fowler Museum for a night of music with the UCLA Charles Mingus Quartet from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 12.
Led by internationally renowned professor, composer, improviser, and flutist James Newton, the UCLA Charles Mingus Quartet performs the work of Mingus and other great jazz composers, along with compositions outside of the jazz canon. The performance will also feature student compositions and arrangements.
Fowler Out Loud is an evening concert series that invites UCLA students from various disciplines to perform at the museum. Faculty and student performers hail from music, ethnomusicology, theater, English, world arts and cultures/dance, and beyond.
No reservation required. Fowler Out Loud is free of charge.
