Asad Madni, distinguished adjunct professor of engineering in the UCLA Henry Samueli School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, has received the first honorary professorship ever given by the Technical University of Crete (TUC) in Chania, Greece. The professorship recognizes his outstanding contributions to engineering science and practice. In 2012, the university honored him with an honorary Doctor of Engineering degree.
Madni will be advising TUC through collaborative programs, lectures and consultation essential for the advancement of their engineering program. His research and expertise spans the areas of intelligent sensors and systems, RF and microwave instrumentation, wireless sensor networks and signal processing, with applications in the automotive industry, space exploration and defense.
