The Fowler Museum and the Dortort Center for Creativity in the Arts at UCLA Hillel present “Exagoge” by the Theatre Dybbuk Company in a free performance on Saturday, Aug. 6 at 8 p.m.
Named after the first extant Jewish play by Ezekiel the Poet, this Greek tragedy highlights the shared struggles of ancient and modern peoples. Theatre Dybbuk has incorporated the original text, which dates back to the second century B.C., with new movement, poetry and music featuring the Harmony Project Leimert Park Choir.
The performance takes place on the lawn of the Fowler's outdoor amphitheater, so dress for cool evening weather and bring a blanket to sit on.
