Share your technical or innovation skills in the fourth annual UCLA Code for the Mission App Competition mobile app competition. Enter an idea for an app or join a team and gain app-building experience. Team registration is open now through Friday, June 16th.
This year's app tracks are:
- Education: Apps that support diversity in education;
- Research: Apps that enhance self-knowledge via data Quantified-Self Apps;
- Service: Apps for a more livable LA.
UCLA students, as individuals or teams, are also invited to apply to work on developing Chancellor Block’s idea for a mobile app. The aim of the app is to match UCLA student volunteers with underserved youth in need of tutoring. The deadline to apply to the Team Up with the Chancellor prize is Saturday, May 13, at 11:59 p.m.
The winners of each track are awarded a $5,000 prize. The contest is open to all UCLA faculty, staff and students. Final entries are due on Wednesday, August 30. The competition is sponsored by the Office of Information Technology and the UCLA Technology Development Group.
