The Hammer Forum will host a discussion on the End of Life Option Act, an assisted suicide law that allows doctors to prescribe aid-in-dying medication. Barbara Coombs Lee, president of Compassion and Choices; Cindy Cain, assistant professor in residence in the department of health policy and management at UCLA; Dr. Haider Warraich, author and physician; and Dan Diaz, husband of the late death-with-dignity advocate Brittany Maynard, discuss the legal, social, and medical ramifications of physician-assisted death.
The discussion, which will be moderated by Ian Masters, will run from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 25 in the Billy Wilder Theater in the Hammer Museum at UCLA. The event is free and open to the public but a ticket is required for entry. Tickets are available one hour before the discussion at the box office.
