Department of Art Professor Catherine Opie got permission from actress Elizabeth Taylor before she died in 2011 to photograph the star’s home and personal possessions during the last year of her life. The exhibition, which debuted at the Museum of Contemporary Art Los Angeles  (MOCA) earlier this year, has now traveled to the University of Michigan Art Museum (UMMA). “Catherine Opie: 700 Nimes Road,” which was organized by MOCA, will be on view at the Michigan museum through Sept. 11.
