Anastassia Alexandrova, UCLA assistant professor in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, has been appointed to the editorial board of Scientific Reports, a research publication within the Nature Publishing Group. The editorial board, composed of expert practicing scientists from all major fields within the clinical, biological, chemical, physical and earth sciences, manages the peer-review process for the journal and accepts papers for publication.
Alexandrova will serve as an editor in chemical physics, alongside Alexei Kornyshev, a professor from Imperial College London. She joined the UCLA faculty in 2009, focusing her research on computational and theoretical design and multi-scale description of new materials.
