Russell Korobkin, UCLA School of Law vice dean and Richard C. Maxwell Professor of Law, is the author of three articles listed among the “Top 25 Most Cited Contract Law Articles of the Last 25 Years,” according to New Private Law, a blog by the interdisciplinary research program, The Project on the Foundations of Private Law, at Harvard Law School dedicated to the academic investigation of private law. Korobkin's top-cited articles are:
- “Bounded Rationality, Standard Form Contracts, and Unconscionability”
- “Status Quo Bias and Contract Default Rules”
- “Inertia and Preference in Contract Negotiation: The Psychological Power of Default Rules and Form Terms”
Korobkin specializes in contracts, negotiation and health care law. He has published more than 50 law journal articles in a variety of fields, including behavioral law and economics, negotiation and alternative dispute resolution, contract law, health care and stem cell research. He is also the author of the negotiation textbook, “Negotiation Theory and Strategy” (Aspen Publishers, 2009); “K: A Common Law Approach to Contracts” (Aspen Casebooks, 2012); and “Stem Cell Century: Law and Policy for a Breakthrough Technology” (Yale University Press, 2007).
