If you were invited to participate in UC’s systemwide engagement survey, don’t miss this opportunity to share your feedback — the survey closes at the end of the day on Friday, June 9. Your participation is important, helping UC continue to improve through a better understanding of the experiences, views and needs of its non-represented (policy-covered) staff.
Meaningful survey results depend on the responses of as many participants as possible. The response rate for the 2015 engagement survey was 46 percent, and the goal is to hear from even more staff members this year. Every voice truly does matter.
The survey is completely confidential. Individual responses to the survey and personally identifying information will not be shared with UC.
About 20,000 of UC’s non-represented staff were randomly selected to participate in the UC staff engagement survey.
UC’s first staff engagement survey was in 2012, followed by the second was in 2015. Survey results have guided a number of campus initiatives.
“Prior surveys have given us valuable insights about the level of employee engagement at UC,” said Dwaine Duckett, vice president of systemwide human resources. “Hearing from our staff members about what it is like to work here, helps us continue to improve.”
The survey was developed by the Council of University of California Staff Assemblies in collaboration with systemwide Human Resources’ Employee Relations department and Willis Towers Watson, which specializes in workforce opinion survey research.
Union-represented employees will not participate in the survey because UC receives their feedback through their union representatives during the collective bargaining process.
