The UCLA Symphony of the Herb Alpert School Music presents its fall concert 8 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 2 at Schoenberg Hall.
The performance will feature the overture to Richard Wagner’s opera "Der fliegende Holländer" ("The Flying Dutchman"), Edvard Grieg’s "Norwegian Air No. 1, Op. 63" (“In Folk Style”), Claude Debussy’s “Nuages” and “Fêtes” from "Three Nocturnes" and Sergei Rachmaninoff’s "Piano Concerto No. 2 in C minor, Op. 18." Award-winning pianist Xiao Chen will perform. Serving as guest conductors will be Maxim Kuzin and Geoffrey Pope.
