Elizabeth Moeller, assistant dean of career services at UCLA School of Law, has been elected to serve as the 2014-2016 vice president of Member Services and Education for the National Association for Law Placement (NALP).
Moeller has held multiple volunteer roles within NALP, an association of more than 2,500 legal career professionals who advise law students, lawyers, law offices and law schools in North America and beyond. She has served on the board of directors and chaired the Member Professional Development and Education Programming Advisory Group, as well as the Annual Education Conference Planning Committee. As an active legal career professional, she has presented at a number of NALP conferences on emerging career paths for lawyers. Moeller is also an active member of the Los Angeles Area Legal Recruitment Association, including service as both vice president and president.
Moeller, who joined the UCLA Law Office of Career Services in 1996, has served as assistant dean since 2005. She is responsible for the overall administration of the office; counseling students and alumni; maintaining and establishing relationships with legal employers; acting as a liaison between students, alumni and employers; and facilitating relationships with the faculty and administration. Previously, she practiced law for more than five years in the Los Angeles offices of Graham & James, and Pepper Hamilton & Scheetz.
