Ken Klee, professor emeritus of law at the UCLA School of Law, has received the 2015 Distinguished Service Award from the American College of Bankruptcy. He was presented with the award in March in recognition of his significant accomplishments in improving the administration of justice in the insolvency and bankruptcy field.
Klee completed his undergraduate studies at Stanford before attending Harvard Law School. Klee joined the faculty at UCLA in 1979. He taught bankrupty, business and contracts.
Klee is a nationally recognized expert on bankruptcy law and a founding partner of Klee, Tuchin, Bogdanoff and Stern LLP, a law firm specializing in corporate reorganization, insolvency and bankruptcy law. He recently represented Jefferson County, Alabama under Chapter 9 of the Bankruptcy Code in what was, at the time, the largest municipal bankruptcy.
