Issam Najm, adjunct associate professor in civil and environmental engineering, was recently elected to the George Warren Fuller Society.
The Fuller award recognizes distinguished service to the water supply industry. Najm is the founder and president of Southern California-based Water Quality and Treatment Solutions, Inc. and has dedicated his career to water quality research and treatment protocols.
Najm’s research focuses on the optimization of physical and chemical processes in drinking water treatment, with an emphasis on the removal of arsenic from groundwater.
