Dr. Erica Oberman, associate clinical professor and vice chair of education in the department of obstetrics and gynecology at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, has been selected as this year’s recipient of the Serge and Yvette Dadone Clinical Teaching Award. The award recognizes faculty members who have made exceptional contributions to the clinical education of medical students and residents.
Oberman has shown a deep commitment to clinical teaching throughout her career at UCLA. As a former clerkship director and residency program director and in her current position, Oberman has played a leading role in shaping the department’s approach to clinical training. Her dedication is evident in the thoughtful, scholarly approach she brings to mentoring and curriculum development.
Her expertise also extends to menopause care as evidenced by her role as co-director of the Comprehensive Menopause Program at UCLA.
The teaching award is a testament to Oberman’s excellence as an educator, her leadership in clinical care and the lasting impact she has made on students and patients alike.
