Participate in a webinar on Feb. 1 or Feb. 10 to provide your feedback to the proposed benefits changes.
University of California President Napolitano is inviting faculty and staff systemwide to provide feedback on task force recommendations for new retirement benefits that affect future UC employees. Feedback will help inform the proposal the president is expected to bring to the UC Board of Regents in March.
Once final, the new retirement benefits will apply only to UC employees hired on or after July 1, 2016. Current employees and retirees will not be affected. The new retirement benefits options are being developed as a result of the 2015 budget agreement between UC and state leaders.
Faculty and staff are invited to provide feedback during two webinars hosted by UCOP Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer Rachael Nava, who chaired the task force that developed the recommendations:
- Webinar #1: Monday, Feb. 1, 2:30–4 p.m.
- Webinar #2: Wednesday, Feb. 10, 1–2:30 p.m.
