The UCLA Academic Senate invites nominations for the Gold Shield Faculty Prize, which each year recognizes a mid-career faculty who has demonstrated extraordinary accomplishment in undergraduate teaching and research, as well as an appropriate level of public service within the university. The honor includes an unrestricted cash prize of $30,000.
Established by Gold Shield Alumnae of UCLA in 1986, the award alternates each year between UCLA’s north and south campuses. This year, the winner will be from the north campus in one of the following areas: College of Letters and Science, School of the Arts and Architecture, Herb Alpert School of Music, Luskin School of Public Affairs and School of Theater, Film and Television.
Submit nominations by Feb. 19, 5 p.m., via the Academic Senate's AtMySenate portal; use your UCLA login and password to access the awards module.
