Los Angeles County District Attorney Jackie Lacey will speak on the Criminal Justice Mental Health Project on Feb. 11 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Korn Convocation Hall Auditorium in the UCLA Anderson School. Her lecture is part of the Academic Advancement Program's third annual Winston C. Doby Distinguished Lecture Series, to which the public is invited.
Lacey was sworn in as district attorney in December 2012. She is the first African-American woman to serve in the position. A graduate of UC Irvine and USC Law School, Lacey has focused on tackling environmental crimes, jail overcrowding and financial exploitation of the elderly.
