UCLA Recreation’s Triathlon Club will be hosting its annual IronBruin Triathlon from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m, Sunday, Feb. 26. Triathlon participants will bike, swim and run their way around UCLA.
The IronBruin classic is a time-trial triathlon. Athletes start in regular intervals and compete against the clock to test their fitness against the times of some of the top collegiate triathletes in California.
In addition to being a unique experience as one of the only triathlons in the country hosted on a university campus, the IronBruin Triathlon is an inclusive race for athletes of all ability levels. The campus will be impacted from 6 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. There will be some road closures and a potential for noise on the morning of the event, specifically around Sunset Canyon Recreation Center.
Parking enforcement officers and campus personnel will be on scene to assist at parking structure entrances and exits as well as any road closures or traffic situations.
