For the past 10 years, cityLAB - UCLA has been at the center of city architecture innovation, particularly in Los Angeles. The cityLAb Times Ten exhibition will showcase the lab’s research on some of the critical challenges facing the 21st century metropolis, ranging from housing to density and transportation.
The exhibition opens Feb. 3 at 7 p.m. Exhibition walk-throughs will be led by cityLAB director Dana Cuff, professor, author and scholar in architecture and urbanism at UCLA.
The work from cityLAB is exhibited in three categories: Desk, Neighbor and Place. Looking to the future, creative projects from six of Los Angeles’ most talented young architects explore the city’s coming decade.
A series of evening panels called “Lab Talks” will bring people together to debate design’s role in the city.
The exhibition can be seen at the A+D Architecture and Design Museum. A+D is located at 900 E. 4th Street, Los Angeles, CA 90013. Gallery hours are Tuesday through Friday, 11 a.m.–5 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday, noon–6 p.m.
General adult tickets are $7; student and senior tickets are $5, and free admission for A+D Members and children under 12.
