Dr. Marianne Gausche-Hill, director of emergency medical services and director of the EMS and Pediatric Emergency Medicine Fellowships at the Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, has been elected to the Board of Directors of the American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM).
The board is comprised of volunteer, board-certified, emergency physicians who actively participate in the ABEM Maintenance of Certification, a program which continues the education of and periodically assesses practicing physicians in emergency medicine.
Gaushce-Hill is nationally known for her work as an EMS researcher and educator and for her leadership in the field of pediatric emergency medicine. She was awarded the Emergency Medical Services for Children Heroes Award for Lifetime Achievement in 2007 and was named one of the Heroes of Emergency Medicine by the American College of Emergency Physicians in 2008.
