Play has the power to heal and, for hospitalized children, helps distract them from the medical environment. The Chase Child Life Program at Mattel Children’s Hospital UCLA has been a pioneer and national model for developmental and psychosocial support for pediatric families.
Chase Child Life's annual holiday toy drive, running through Dec. 17, provides vital developmentally appropriate toys and creative art supplies for pediatric patients. The drive is sponsored by UCLA facilities management, the UCLA Health softball league and Staff Assembly.
