Join the Fowler Museum for an engaging afternoon as Lyssa Stapleton and Holly Jerger lead tours of exhibitions to examine contemporary work in the fiber arts at the Fowler Museum and at the Craft and Folk Art Museum (CAFAM). Stapleton is the co-curator of The Box Project: Uncommon Threads at the Fowler Museum. Jerger is curator at CAFAM, where Kay Sekimachi: Simple Complexity is a featured exhibit.
Visitors will experience the diversity of innovations by fiber artists. At CAFAM, participants will have the option to create their own fiber sculpture in collaboration with artist Mimi Haddon.
Space is limited. Tickets are $50 for Fowler and CAFAM members; $60 general admission. Tickets include workshop materials, refreshments and round-trip shuttle from the Fowler Museum.
