Dr. Jonathan Bergman, professor of urology and family medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, has been named a 2026 Young Urologist of the Year by the American Urological Association (AUA). He is one of nine urologists nationwide to receive this year’s honor.
Bergman was recognized for his leadership in implementing a virtual call program that alleviates the burden of calls on trainees by allowing a single resident to act as a command center for multiple sites and to prioritize situations that require in-person evaluation or intervention for patients over low-value calls and pages. He has also served as an AUA plenary speaker, AUA Quality Improvement Summit co-chair (focusing on primary palliative care) and is a graduate of the AUA Leadership Program.
