The UCLA Film and Television Archive in partnership with Outfest Los Angeles hosts a screening of “Love! Valour! Compassion!” as part of the Outfest UCLA Legacy Project Screening Series. The program works to collect and restore queer film and video.
The 1997 film revolves around eight gay men who gather for three summer weekends at a lakeside house in Dutchess County, New York, where they relax, reflect and plan for survival in an era plagued by AIDS. It was adapted from Terrence McNally’s play of the same name.
“Love! Valour! Compassion!” will screen at 7:30 p.m., Friday, June 23 in the Billy Wilder Theater at the Hammer Museum at UCLA.
