Take in a dazzling display of innovative costume, scenic, sound, lighting and production designs by students from the nation's top graduate design programs at the 14th Annual Design Showcase West at the Freud Playhouse on Saturday, June 4.
Held at the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television (TFT) each year, Design Showcase West is regularly attended by entertainment producers, directors and A-list designers looking for new talent. The event is the only national entertainment design showcase on the West Coast featuring the work of students graduating from the nation’s top university design programs, including UCLA; California Institute of the Arts; UC San Diego; New York University; University of Missouri, Kansas City; UC Davis; the University of Texas, Austin; UC Irvine and the North Carolina School of the Arts.
Academy Award-winning writer and director Quentin Tarantino will be the keynote speaker at an invitation-only session for industry insiders from 10 a.m.to 12:30 p.m. The showcase is open to the public from 2 to 5 p.m.
