To honor National CPR Week, the UCLA Emergency Department, the UCLA Office of Emergency Preparedness and the UCLA Center for Prehospital Care will offer free training in hands-on cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), which has been found to dramatically increase survival for sudden-cardiac-arrest patients.
On Thursday, June 5 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., drop in at one of two locations to learn the basics in just 10 minutes from CPR instructors: Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, dining commons patio; UCLA Medical Center Santa Monica, patio area in front of 1245 16th Street.
This training does not qualify for CPR certification, but more information about certification and this event can be found at UCLA Prehospital Care.
