UCLA’s Hammer Museum and KCRW are teaming up to present Made in L.A. Music, four nights of free, live, Los Angeles-based music in the museum courtyard.
The fun starts tonight, Thursday, July 10 at 6:30 p.m., when happy hour gets into full swing, and the music starts at 7:30 p.m., with performances by De Lux, mystery DJs, and KCRW DJ Mathieu Schreyer.
Catch the three other events on July 17, July 24 and July 31 — same schedule (6:30 p.m. happy hour, 7:30 p.m. music), different bands. July 17th’s festivities include performances by Golden Globe-winning musician Alex Ebert; KCRW DJ Liza Richardson; actress Jena Malone as frontwoman for her band, The Shoe; and My Hawaii. On July 24, Afro Funke, KCRW DJ Jeremy Sole and DJ Glenn Red will be featured, and July 31 will see performances from Marques Wyatt, Doc Martin and KCRW DJ Raul Campos.
As always, Hammer shows are free to the public, but tickets must be obtained from the box office an hour before the show. Parking is available under the museum for a flat rate of $3 after 6 p.m. More info.
