Take in a unique musical performance by the Balinese gamelan ensemble Pandan Arum on Thursday, May 26 at 6 p.m. in the open-air ambience of the Fowler Museum courtyard.
Inspired by the Fowler exhibition, "Art of the Austronesians," the performance concludes the spring season of Fowler Out Loud events.
The orchestra of gongs, metallophones and other percussion instruments, led by UCLA ethnomusicology graduate student Tyler Yamin, performs rare pieces from village traditions, including traditional Balinese dance.
