The UCLA Black Male Institute examines black and Latino male success during its annual Think Tank on Thursday, May 26 at UCLA's Carnesale Commons, Hermosa Room. The event features research presentations by undergraduate student researchers associated with the institute as well as a keynote address by professor Shaun Harper, executive director of the Center for the Study of Race and Equity in Education at the University of Pennsylvania. Harper will discuss “Advancing Black and Latino Male Student Success from High School Through Higher Education.”
Tyrone Howard, UCLA professor of education and founder and director of the institute, described the event as "an opportunity to bring together the best and brightest minds who are engaged in the work of supporting our young men to optimize their potential.”
