Put your mind at rest with a peaceful session of meditation and world music at the Fowler Museum on Thursday, June 5, 5:30 p.m.

The sunset session, co-presented with the UCLA Mindfulness Awareness Research Center (MARC) and the Healthy Campus Initiative, will include an introduction to mindfulness — the act of paying attention to the present moment with openness, curiosity and a willingness to be with what is. Silent meditation will be led by Diana Winston, MARC's director of mindfulness education, and will be complemented with the sounds of world music provided by Michael Perricone on Tibetan singing bowls, vocalist Jahna Perricone and, and on the Middle Eastern nay flute, ethnomusicology professor A.J. Racy.

Seating is first-come, first-served. Priority seating for Fowler members will begin at 5:15 pm, and the event will begin at 5:30. Find more information on the event here.
