Associate professor of electrical engineering Mona Jarrahi was a keynote speaker at the 14th International Conference on Nanotechnology held  in Toronto, Canada, in August 18-21. Organized by the IEEE Nanotechnology Council, this was one of the largest nanotechnology conferences in the world, The title of her talk was "Nanophotonics and Plasmonics for Advancement of Terahertz Technology."
