Benjamin Nathan will join UCLA Health Sciences as the chief information officer for the David Geffen School of Medicine, effective on May 4.
Nathan will provide the vision and leadership for the administration, research and educational information systems of the medical school. In addition, he will serve as a liaison between the school and UCLA Health's Information Services and Solutions, reporting to both the chief information officer of UCLA Health Sciences and the executive vice dean of the medical school to enhance information technology solutions and security for the Health Sciences.
Nathan comes to UCLA from Weill Cornell Medical College, where he serves as the deputy chief information officer of operations. Previously,he was the associate director of security and identity management at Weill Cornell. He received a master's degree in technology management from Columbia University and a bachelor's degree from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
