Join the Friends of the Semel Institute for a book talk by Dr. Peter Whybrow on Monday, Nov. 16, 6:30 p.m. in the Semel Institute Auditorium.

Whybrow, director of the UCLA Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior, will discuss his new book "The Well Tuned Brain: Neuroscience and the Life Well Lived," which offers optimistic solutions for regaining ourselves from a time-starved, consumer-driven society. Said Kirkus reviews, “Whybrow's crisp neuroscience reporting is important, as it helps us understand why parts of the brain are at war, some busy offering rewards and reinforcement others cross-talking, all the while being stressed and pulled by the environment.”

Admission to this event is free, but attendees must RSVP. Find more information and RSVP here.
