With the November 2016 presidential election just a year away, Barney Frank joins Ian Masters in a Hammer Forum on Tuesday, Nov. 3, 7:30 p.m. at UCLA Hammer Museum.
Frank served as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives (D-Mass.) from 1981 to 2013. He chaired the House Financial Services Committee from 2007-2011 and was a co-sponsor of the Dodd-Frank Act, signed into law in 2010 to reform the U.S. financial industry in the wake of the 2008 Wall Street crash. The first openly gay U.S. congressman, Frank is considered to be as knowledgeable about the politics and issues facing candidates as he is outspoken.
Ian Masters is a journalist, author, screenwriter, documentary filmmaker and host of the radio programs “Background Briefing” and “The Daily Briefing” on KPFK 90.7 FM.
