Join the Institute for Digital Research and Education on Nov. 9 for a seminar on the dark side of the internet.
IDRE will host "The Hacker Web Project: Exploring the Dark Side of the Web" from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Charles E. Young Grand Salon in Kerckhoff Hall. The main event will be a lecture by Hsinchun Chen, the founder and director of the Articificial Intelligence Laboratory at the University of Arizona. The seminar will address the increased interest in hacking and the issues relevance on the international stage and in the American presidential election.
Chen will discuss his National Science Foundation-funded Hacker Web Project, which gathers and analyzes data to anticipate, detect and address hacking threats. A light lunch will be provided. RSVP before Nov. 3.
