UCLA Library and the Sustainable L.A. Grand Challenge will host an all-day symposium on Oct. 23 in the Charles E. Young Research Library Conference Room. The event is titled "Sustainable LA/Data Cosmopolis: When Urban Meets Data." It will take place 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. The keynote of the symposium will be delivered by Los Angeles City Controller Ron Galperin at 9 a.m. Mark Gold, associate vice chancellor for environment and sustainability, and Casandra Rauser, the director of the Sustainable LA Grand Challenge, will also speak.
