The popular Henry J. Bruman Summer Chamber Music Festival, presented by the UCLA Center for 17th- and 18th-Century Studies, features four free concerts this summer, all taking place from noon-1 p.m. in the Powell Library Rotunda on UCLA’s main campus.
On Thursday, July 21, the series opens with iPalpiti Soloists performing “Sonata for Two Clarinets” by composer Francis Poulenc (1899–1963) and “String Octet in C Major, op. 7” by George Enescu (1881–1955). iPalpiti Artists International, a non-profit organization, was founded in 1997 by Eduard and Laura Schmieder, world-renowned violinists and music educators. With the support of distinguished legendary musicians, iPalpiti discovers and promotes talented young professional artists from around the globe.
