The Henry J. Bruman Summer Chamber Music Festival, a popular annual series of free concerts presented by the UCLA Center for 17th- and 18th-Century Studies, features four free concerts this summer, all taking place from noon-1 p.m. in Korn Convocation Hall at the UCLA Anderson School of Management.
Opening the series on Tuesday, July 28, the Westside Chamber Players will present “Duetto for Violoncello and Double Bass” by composer Gioacchino Rossini (1792–1868); “Sonate pour violon et violoncelle” by Maurice Ravel (1875–1937); and “Five Tangos for Violin and Double Bass,” composed by Astor Piazzolla (1921–1992) and arranged by A. Wiebecke-Gottstein.
