Sam Emaminejad, assistant professor of electrical and computer engineering in the UCLA Samueli School of Engineering, received the University of Waterloo’s Young Alumni Achievement Medal.
The medal was established for University of Waterloo alumni who have distinguished themselves through their professional achievements, community service or academic excellence. Emaminejad was recognized for his research on biological and chemical sensors that gather health-related data to diagnose and track diseases as well as his ongoing support of the next generation of engineers and scientists.
Emaminejad’s research interests include sensors, microfluidics and technology development for personalized and precision medicine.
