Richard Hovannisian, UCLA professor emeritus of history and Armenian Educational Foundation Professor of Modern Armenian History, has been elected to the Accademia Ambrosiana of Milan for his contributions to the study of Armenian and Near Eastern history.
His induction into the academy occurred during its annual assembly, Nov. 9-11, where he delivered his inaugural lecture, “Evolution of the Historiography of the Armenian Genocide from 1920 to 2015.”
