Robert Gilbert is the new director of budget and financial planning for H&HS. He will manage, direct, and control key financial indicators for the entire H&HS organization, which currently operates within a $250-million budget. GIlbert will also manage debt capacity models, provide support of long-term capital development initiatives exceeding $1 billion and manage sustainability and fiscal recognition functions. In addition to his fiscal management responsibilities, he will oversee a staff of four full-time team members and two students.

Gilbert began his H&HS career in 2008 as the department's sustainability coordinator. In 2010, he was promoted to special assistant to the associate vice chancellor, managing office operations and special projects. In 2012, he became assistant director of budget and financial planning and worked on financial models, budgets, major maintenance and financial reporting.
