In recognition of making significant improvements in its year-over-year rankings in the Vizient annual auality and accountability study, Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center has received the 2017 Vizient Rising Star Award. The award was presented Sept. 14, during the 2017 Vizient Clinical Connections Summit held in Denver.
The Vizient auality and accountability study measures performance based on the Institute of Medicine’s six domains of care: safety, timeliness, effectiveness, efficiency, equity and patient centeredness

The Vizient Quality and Accountability Study was designed to help health care organizations identify practices associated with high performance in patient care quality and safety,” said Julie Cerese, senior vice president, performance management, Vizient.
