The long-term relationship between the United States and Saudi Arabia is anything but simple, especially with the incessant questions about whether powerful Saudis funded Al Qaeda and some of the hijackers who carried out the 9/11 attacks.
As part of the Hammer Museum’s Forum, Sen. Bob Graham, former chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee and co-chair of the Congressional inquiry into the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, will address the 28 pages of the Sept. 11 report that remains classified. The event will take place 7:30-9:30 p.m., Thursday, Sept.10, at the Billy Wilder Theater.
Former CIA veteran Robert Baer, portrayed by George Clooney in the movie “Syriana,” will also provide insight on the relationship between the U.S. and Saudi Arabia. Ian Masters, journalist, author, screenwriter, documentary filmmaker and radio host, will moderate the discussion.
The event is free and open to the public. Tickets are required and available at the theater box office one hour before the program. One ticket per person; first come, first served.
