The recipient of the 2015 My Last Lecture Award is Randall Rojas, assistant adjunct professor of economics and an alumnus who holds three UCLA degrees. He specializes in interdisciplinary subjects that includes econophysics, cosmology, cognitive science, statistics and finance.
Organized by the Alumni Scholars Club, the My Last Lecture Award is the only faculty award at UCLA selected entirely by the student body. It began 50 years ago when notable UCLA professors put all of their life lessons and advice for students into one "last lecture."
The award ceremony and lecture will take place Tuesday, May 12, from 6:30-8:30 p.m., in DeNeve Auditorium. Admission is free, but seating is limited. Tickets are available at the Central Ticket Office.
