Sue Barnes has been appointed director of the UCLA Emeriti/Retirees Relations Center (ERRC), starting April 18.
Since 2009, Barnes has served as director of the UC Davis Retiree Center, overseeing programs and services that keep retirees connected to the campus and assisting active employees with retirement planning. She is past president of the Association of Retirement Organizations in Higher Education.
Barnes' appointment was announced in a letter to the UCLA community from Vice Chancellor for Academic Personnel Carole Goldberg, who wrote: "Her experience has prepared her well to lead the ERRC and continue to work on new initiatives for retirement planning and post-retirement connections."
