Enjoy making art with your family at "Close Encounters: Portrait Theater" at the UCLA Hammer Museum on Sunday, Feb. 28, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Hammer Kids event invites adults and children age 5 and up to practice different techniques of portraiture with photographer Siri Kaur. Participants will also be able to snap photos using techniques from the current Hammer exhibition, "Catherine Opie: Portraits."
Close Encounters is a Hammer Museum initiative designed to encourage families look closely at art, experiment and createtogether. Admission to the event and the museum are free.
