A UCLA delegation made up of more than 50 staff, students, alumni, community leaders and friends gathered recently at Los Angeles City Hall before participating in advocacy meetings with city council members, county supervisors and their staff. The annual UCLA Day in Downtown LA featured meetings, a reception at the headquarters of the Los Angeles Police Department and a discussion on homelessness moderated by NBC4 anchor Conan Nolan with City Councilman José Huizar and L.A. County Homeless Initiative Director Phil Ansell.
