Dr. Vincent Rowe, chief of vascular and endovascular surgery at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, was elected president of the Society for Clinical Vascular Surgery for 2025–26. He was elected at the society’s 52nd annual symposium in Austin.
The Society for Clinical Vascular Surgery has advanced the art and science of vascular surgery through education, research and collaboration since its founding in 1972.
“This historic organization has been guided by generations of visionary leaders dedicated to excellence in patient care, education, and innovation, ” Rowe said. “I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to carry that legacy forward and to help expand the society’s reach, elevate its impact and inspire the next generation of vascular surgeons.”
His research includes issues related to diversity, equity and inclusion in the vascular surgery community. He previously served as chair of the society’s equity and inclusion committee and is dedicated to the advancement of underrepresented groups in clinical practice and patient access.
Rowe received his medical degree from the University of Southern California, completed his internship and residency in general surgery at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Los Angeles and completed a vascular surgery fellowship at the University of Tennessee Medical Center.
He has also held roles in the American Board of Surgery, the American College of Surgeons, the Western Vascular Surgery Society and the American Heart Association. He is a member of the American Surgical Association and a founding member of the Society of Black Vascular Surgeons.
