Jenessa Shapiro, associate professor at the UCLA Anderson School of Management, was recently named one of 2016’s "Best 40 Under 40 Professors" by Poets and Quants, a news website devoted to the coverage of business schools and MBA programs.
Shapiro’s main areas of research interest are prejudice, discrimination, stereotyping, stigma and diversity, and she also serves as an associate professor in the Department of Psychology at UCLA. She’s authored 30 research articles and given close to 20 conference talks as she sets out to understand, and help others understand, stereotype threats and social stigmas. Shapiro is also a member of the Anderson School’s Task Force on Faculty Gender Climate, a faculty sponsor for Underrepresented Graduate Students in Psychology and a member of the psychology department’s Diversity Issues Committee.
